Overview

Bad behavior is the #1 cause of death for dogs in the U.S. More dogs are turned over to shelters for bad or unruly behavior than for any other reason. Making the decision to train your dog shows a commitment to a life long relationship with your dog. All classes are taught using positive reinforcement. Your dog learns to work for a reward, rather than to avoid punishment. This helps to build a better bond between you and your dog.

Individual training or evaluation available at $35/hour.

All dogs must be current on DHLP, Rabies & Bordetella. A copy of veterinary records will be kept on file.

Puppies need to have had their 3rd series of shots to participate in classes. Normally this is given around 12 weeks of age.

Dogs signing up for Dog II should be graduates of Basic Obedience classes or equivalent.

Adult partners or children are welcome in any of the classes. We ask that only one person handle the dog during any one class to make things easier for the dog to understand.

For liability reasons, children under the age of 13 can’t handle a dog during class.
