Don't let this happen - We welcome walk-ins on nail trims

This is a photo of a poor dog that has not been groomed for well over a year. The nails were so long they curled back, and the dog could not walk properly. Also one dewclaw was imbedded into the pad and we had to recommend they go their vet to have this cut out. We welcome walk-ins on nail trims! Keeping their nails trimmed not only helps you and your furniture from getting scratched, but it is for the welfare of your pet as well. After we trimmed this dogs nails, it left with out any effort or limping.

This is from a labradoodle, that the owners “thought they were brushing and were bathing themselves”. Please do not let your pet get in this condition. Let a professional groom your pet.

They were only “brushing” the top and not getting down the the skin, because he cried when they brushed him too long. This came off all in one piece. It was like a piece of felt and solid. The dog was suffering from heat and skin conditions. No air could get to his body to cool him and by bathing him “regularly at home”, they were not getting him dry enough because of the badly matting and probably not getting all the shampoo out when rinsing.

Some breeds do need to be professionally done on a regular basis and we are happy to show you how to care for them in between apppointments.

We only want to help the pets stay happy and comfortable. Not only do the pets (dogs and cats) look bad when we have to clip them completely down, but they can be embarrassed and uncomfortable as well. But it is neccessary to do it when they are in this type of conditionl. Preventative measures are better than starting all over.
