FAQ

How much does it cost to groom my pet?

Grooming rates vary depending on the breed of your pet and the type of services you choose. It can also vary on coat condition and if there is dematting involved.

What type of pets do you groom?

We groom all breeds of dog & cats. We have trained groomers, a head stylist who graduated from the Animal Arts Academy, who specialize in breed specific cuts. We also trim nails on some exotics, such as rabbits, & guinea pigs. We do not clip bird wings.

Do you tranquilize pets before you bathe or groom them?

Never! Our stylist and groom techs are well trained to handle nervous pets, and treat every one with tender loving care. We work with and take time to show them we will not hurt them and it can be an enjoyable experience for them. Some have had bad experiences previous to coming to us and we retrain them to trust us and what we will be doing for them.  As for muzzles, we very rarely use them! Most times this is more traumatic for them and brings on more aggression. There are times it does become necessary for the safety of our groomers, but this is the exception not the rule.

Why does my pet have to have vaccinations to be groomed?

We have a responsibility to ensure the safety and health of all the animals in our care, so we require that every guest be vaccinated. We have many guest go through our facility, whether it be for grooming, boarding, daycare or obedience. We recommend updating your pet’s vaccines a week in advance of your visit to ensure maximum protection, but we will except them with less than a week. We also are able to give the bordetella here, but we recommend you getting it before your visit from your vet.  We know there is some debate about the benefit and risks of vaccinations. After reviewing the advice of medical experts on the subject, we have decided to take a conservative approach. We will accept a veterinarian’s excuse for certain guests who have specific health issues, but this is on individual cases.
