Rainbow Bridge

JUST THIS SIDE OF HEAVEN IS A PLACE CALLED RAINBOW BRIDGE

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again just as we remembered them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together…….- Author Anonymous

Memorials for our friends:

Leroy Deters
Leroy a wonderful Lab mix that we all cherished here at Paradise. He was a wonderful kind spirit that you just looked forward to seeing every time he walked through our doors. He participated in one of our Fashion Shows that we held, and never let his fame go to his head! Leroy would have been 12 years old this month. We truly miss him and cherish the memories. Passed 2009.
Maggie Melton
A Giant Schnauzer who was a joy! She enjoyed playing and romping around and never acted her age! She was so well mannered and a true lady. Her paw-prints will always be in our heart. Passed 2009.
Buddy Staley
Buddy was fun loving, go getter yellow Labrador. He had been a guide dog that didn’t make the cut when his owners adopted him.We fell in love from the start. Rex and Buddy were the best of friends. Buddy left us unexpectedly due to some complications this past January. It hit us and his owners extremely hard. Buddy was a regular daycare player every week. Some of his 4 legged friends miss him and wonder where he is. They were used to playing together every week. Passed 1-2010.
Mugsie Smith
Mugsie Smith Mugsie was  a cute little black mix who was such a happy little soul. She loved walks and playing. She slept with her owners running shoe and looked forward to her bedtime treats. She had been a little shy when she first starting coming to us, but she after she visited with us a couple of times, she would come running in to greet us, with her little smiling face. We miss her deeply. Passed 2009.
Horse Burhardt
Horse Burhardt A great yellow lab! He had been rescued by his loving owners from the Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue. Horse was a gentle giant and loved to just relax and hang out, never in a great hurry about anything.  He stayed with us along with his brothers Sam, and Buck. I’m sure they miss him greatly as well. Horse and his brother Sam had made the cover of the rescues annual calender and they were nice enough to send us one. We were tickled when we received it, but now we treasure it even more! Passed 1-2010
Emma Yoder
Emma was a Silky Terrier with attitude plus. She was quite a character, we enjoyed her terrier attitude. She did fear storms and sometimes got frustrated and let us know how she felt about that. She would sit in her window of her luxury suite and watch the world outside. She always made sure we mowed the yard just right or watch the birds fly around. We will miss her greatly. Passed 2009.
