Bonnie and Santa Paws made the trip to the local shelter to bring the workers there and the homeless pets some much needed items. The resort had recently held some fund raising events and raised over $475 to buy items including a new computer flat screen, a laminator, key board and moiuse, and vacuum to name just a few things. They also had many clients donate items, such as bleach, canned food, beds, etc. Bonnie was overwelmed with the response people gave. The resort is still accepting items and will continue to be a drop off point for the public who wish to donate items. Santa Paws and Bonnie would like to thank all of those who showed up to their fund-raisers and look forward to next year’s events. Bonnie and Rex would like also to thank Annah Brown for donating her photography skills the day we took our Santa Pics. We raised over $400 just that day!!

Halloween Open House

Please join us Friday and Saturday for our Halloween Open House!

We will be having bobbing for tennis balls, Pet Decorating (like Face Painting for Kids), Refreshments for both people and pets, and a drawing for a basket filled with $125 worth of goodies plus a costume choice for the winner.

We will also be having a 40% off retail sale (Excluding food) both Friday and Saturday.

Steuben Humane Society’s Birthday

Steuben Humane Society’s Birthday Party was held on May 30, 2009. We did face painting, Pawsley was there to greet everyone and we rented a Moon Bounce for the kids to play in. The girls in the Bouncey are actually 2 employees, Crystal and Holly. Our Trainer is working with one of the Shelter dogs during the party. His name is Ken Blackburn and the dog is Goldy. Holly is leading a horse around for the kids to ride. We had a wonderful time helping out and there were several dogs that recieved new homes that day. Trish is in the doggy hat and she was helping with the games.

Stacey’s Superstars Tour Pawsitively Paradise

We gave a tour to a local daycare, Stacey’s Superstars. Pawsley with the help of Rex gave them a tour of our facility. Rex went over some basic pet care and how to keep your pets healthy and happy. Jordan and Wickie greeted them and they got to meet Callie the Guinea Pig who happened to be boarding with us. Each of the children told us about their pets at home and what they did to help take care of them. Pawsley handed out goodie bags for the children to take home!!

We welcome groups to come in and tour or facility anytime. We also have had some organizations use our facility for meetings in the evening. Groups such as 4-H, Girl & Boy Scouts, Red Hat Ladies, and Lions have been just some of our guests. If any group would like more information, they are welcome to to call us and set up a time.

Santa Paws Fundraiser

Here are some pictures from our Santa Paws fundraiser for the Shelter. We raised over $200 for them. We had a lot of fun!! We look forward to doing it again next year.
